Solar Leasing Embraces ACPV: SolarBridge Technologies Partners with Sunnova, ET to Offer TrueAC Solar Leases

Published by fnever on April 23rd, 2013 - in Knowledge Base

Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 18, 2013

Homeowners in of flexible financing for their solar systems now have a product option that dramatically increases energy harvest and improves uptime: ACPV systems. In a partnership with provider Sunnova, TrueACTM module systems from ET Solar and will now be offered to Sunnova?s residential lease customers.

Sunnova?s decision to include TrueAC systems in their product portfolio signals a move by the solar leasing industry toward increasingly plug-and-play systems that reduce installation as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) costs. Sunnova selected ET AC modules powered by SolarBridge microinverters because of their higher power output and quality-focused factory-integration of the SolarBridge microinverter with ET .

?Sunnova is very particular when it comes to selecting our partners,? said Jordan Fruge, senior vice president of sales, Sunnova. ?SolarBridge and ET are great fits for our program, because like Sunnova they are both extremely focused on equipping contractors and installers with innovative, high-quality solutions that will efficiently grow their businesses.?

Every ET AC module system comes equipped with a gateway device that provides module-level monitoring and cloud-to-cloud access of site performance for contractors, site owners and leasing companies. This enhanced fleet visibility is ideal for solar lease providers eager to reduce O&M costs and actively troubleshoot any performance gaps.

?TrueAC modules are well-suited for the leasing model because of their design flexibility, ease of installation as well as their robust management capabilities capturing the performance of every module and microinverter,? said Craig Lawrence, vice president of marketing, SolarBridge Technologies. ?For financial leasing companies this performance visibility translates directly to the bottom line.?

The solar leasing industry now accounts for a growing percentage of all residential installations in the U.S. The introduction of TrueAC systems to the leasing marketplace from companies like Sunnova will enable even more homes to qualify for solar, since ACPV systems maximize energy harvest regardless of roof orientation or shading. TrueAC systems are especially attractive because their plug-and-play design cuts installation time up to 50 percent ? a huge advantage for solar lease providers looking to increase the number of sites installed per day.

As with all TrueAC systems powered by SolarBridge, ET AC modules are certified as a complete AC module assembly to UL 1741 with additional evaluations performed from UL 1703. The complete system is warrantied for 25 years, end-to-end.

The price of solar panels throughout 2011 was put at .80, this was uncovered by a research during March 2012. that the cost of solar panels in 2011 was more or less .80. Besides that these investigators believed that by end of this year, the costs will shrink more to .50 for each watt. Because the Pv systems don’t use fossil fuels thus often the life of such Solar units can last 25 to 40 years. The multinational seminar over Solar Photovoltaic Investments, set up by EPIA, has guessed that Photovoltaic systems may pay back individuals getting it in 8 to 12 years. For that reason, since ’06 it is actually cheap for investors to use photovoltaics at no cost in exchange for an extended term energy purchase agreement. Around 50 % of commercial systems had been installed in this fashion in 2007 and it is expected that 90% can by ’09.

The entire expense for installation of Solar power systems has fallen below that of nuclear energy and is set to drop further. The actual retailer rate of solar panels that is perceived by the Solar energy buzz group reduced from .50/watt to .43/watt over the course of ’11, and a decline to prices below .00/watt appears inevitable. When it comes to a bigger-size setups, costs lower than .00/watt are in fact common. In most areas, solar units has hit parity to grid, the price at which it is contending with fossil fuel or gas powered technology. At the same time, it’s now certain that, owing to a carbon pricing of /ton, which might raise the rate of fossil fuel fired electricity by 5c/kWh, solar power shall be inexpensive in most areas. The falling rate of solar energy is indicated in exponentially expanding installations, adding up to nearly 23 GW in 2011.At the same time, governments have prepared different capital concessions to support the use of solar power, like feed-in tariff schemes. Moreover, Renewable portfolio benchmarks enforce a government mandate that power providers manufacture or purchase a certain portion of environment-friendly electricity in spite of inflated energy buying rates. Recently, non-rebated solar energy is indeed competitively priced with fossil fuels in India, Hawaii, Italy and Spain. It’s no more a lavishness of the affluent and is currently contending in the actual life with no subsidies. Solar power is going to compete without concessions against normal energy resources in almost all the nations by 2015.Australian government has announced subsidy for homeowners, establishments and communities known as “Solar Credits” to cut down the cost associated in having solar panels. It was passed into law on 20th August 2009, however the rules continuously modify the of the rebate frequently decreasing it with quite small notification timeperiod. Usually, basic price of a running 1.5kW may be approximately ,500 which is actually pricey, although since you enjoy government Rebate of ,000 it would in fact cost you almost ,500 for 1.5KW of installed solar panel system thus lessening the cost. This also aids in reducing the expense of this green electric energy.

Owing to escalating environmental pollution day-by-day, it is advisable to choose renewable resource of consistent power which would bring the smog levels down. Solar power is one such resource, neither does it release co2 nor any sound rather gives clean power and is acknowledged as the future of energy need.

Is the Trend For Solar Power M&A Set to Continue?

Published by fnever on August 19th, 2012 - in Knowledge Base

New York, US (PRWEB) August 17, 2012

Read the full here: http://bit.ly/P8vnEW

A new report from has revealed that solar mergers and acquisitions broke records in 2011 ? but is the trend set to continue?

The new report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance, entitled the ?Solar Portfolio Hunters: Focus on Acquisition and Valuation of Solar Assets?, found that a total of 3.9MW in projects changed hands last year. The amount of solar capacity bought last year increased on 2010 levels by 122 percent.

The estimated value of these deals was a record-breaking $ 10.8 billion, while the top five deals in terms of their capacity took part in the US. This is despite much of the activity taking place in Europe, where governments have been trying to stem the increased flow of new solar projects coming on line.

Bloomberg?s report concluded that there were several factors prompting the increase in M&A deals within the industry. The attempts made by European government to slow down solar are certainly a factor that has led to growing M&A interest in the market. This has come about at the same time as natural consolidation that occurs after entrepreneurs have been holding onto an asset for a while.

Banks are also less willing to lend to start-ups looking to invest in the development of a solar energy project from scratch, but are more willing to help fund an M&A deal. This has all led to a general market trend for mergers and buyouts simply because there is less opportunity to start a brand new solar energy project.

Throughout 2011, investors found that solar photo-voltaic cell projects offered good returns on , if found at the right price. As a result, they have been actively acquiring them. A total of 2.8GW of the 3.9GW of solar energy projects bought during the period were already in operation or were under construction.

Buying up a photo-voltaic cell project that is either already in operation, is under construction or already permitted for development, is a low-risk strategy ? particularly in light of the fact that the prices of solar projects have fallen by 44 per cent from their peak four years ago.

Bloomberg’s new Energy Finance?s solar analyst, Pietro Radoia, attributed the lower prices to a combination of factors. He said, ?The subsidies for the average operating plant have become less generous, and therefore the potential revenues are reduced. Second, the financial crisis has pushed up the of debt and equity.?

As the price of buying solar projects comes down, so does the price of the energy they produce, making it a more realistic option for many domestic users. In turn, this has led to an increase in investment from venture-capitalists and investment funds, according to a report published by Mercom Capital group. The report found that in the second quarter of 2012 alone, some $ 3.2 billion has been invested by funds in solar-focused and cleantech projects.

Although investment in solar project M&A seems to have slowed slightly in 2012, there are still plenty of opportunities for investors who do want to try their hand at making money from solar energy. Raj Pabhu, a managing partner at Mercom, said, ?Most of the M&A activity [in Q2 2012] were small strategic transactions. In some cases acquisitions were of ?sick? companies getting rid of non-strategic business assets.?

With limited opportunity for new solar projects and a large number of firms looking to offload projects that they can no longer afford without subsidies, investing in solar power is expected to remain popular for some time.

The renewable industry has grown dramatically in the last years; throughout you give return, you you hear speak to solar energy and the solar paddles, the biological farms and fuels. The solar industry, particularly, has gotten to be such present subject and so high in demand that there is something hardly hopes the solar bubble to distribute. Each dog is its, all have their fifteen minutes of fame, and the fifteen minutes of the solar industry were for above long ago.

Nontruth. The solar energy took the stage and remained in her, and the demand is rising only more above. What financial people, commercialization and tendency study are discovering is that, whereas the demand for solar products is high, there is an enormous shortage of people described with the solar training to install systems of picovoltio (photovoltaics), as well as many other areas.

The states such as Oregon, Colorado, Arizona and New Jersey have policies that let good places them to create or to grow solar businesses, between many other states. The solar integrators are watching many new technologies, looking for so that better ways harness solar energy.

The technology of picovoltio, for example, uses silicon to create energy when finding the light. The systems of picovoltio use the light photons that cause heat, and the majority of the modules takes of the capsules of silicone, welded together in rows. Whereas many programs of the investigation and development finance something, most of it is lead by the private market. This abre “to green works” in the investigation and development, as well as the manufacture and the installation in the local communities.

During last the twenty-five years or therefore, the electrical systems photovoltaic have stored to an enormous reputation in the business and the private sectors. Therefore, the local levels also are undergoing a shortage of employees with the solar training. With the demand for the products of picovoltio that rise, those in the construction business as general contractors, electricians, roofers and similars will need to be able to cover that demand.

The businesses, especially, are taking interventions from energy and are watching ways to reduce power costs. Here it is where those in the construction business can really benefit from the solar training and the certification, as well as the learning of “the green” .

The companies are becoming interested more in ways to save, of the insulator, to the illumination, the solar installation. If a general contractor takes an interest in the solar training, knows to measure use of the energy and knows to reduce it, that she is a general contractor who will be in one more a demand higher than others.

The Roofers and the electricians can also benefit from the solar training. The owners of a house are beginning to replace their tiles of material for old woman ceilings by solar matrices of picovoltio; roofer that he is also a described installer he will be able to find a more job. Nevertheless, the solar matrices will not work in a roof and they are due to sometimes install in the Earth. In this case, an electrician with the solar training can find the place perfect to work inside.

While the tendency to the rise continues in the solar industry; while people worry about the heating of the atmosphere and the planet; while the nations work together to make the world best, the training to pave will be a necessity in several social classes.

Solar Energy

Published by fnever on June 28th, 2012 - in Knowledge Base

Introduction

Solar energy is one of the great solutions to the which has been a menace and a topic of debate for a long period of time. It has been revealed that, one of the strongest effects of Global Worming is a raising temperature and longer summer. In this case we could benefit from solar energy and prevent further pollution created by conventional energy. In this paper, the different types of will be addressed in order to determine the laws governing the field of solar energy. , in order to start looking at the solar energy it is of great importance to look how expensive are the solar panes and their effectiveness (Solar Energy International 300).

The three most common types of solar-electric systems are grid-intertied, grid-intertied with battery backup, and off-grid (stand-alone). Each has distinct applications and component needs. First one is ore affordable but it doesn’t have accumulator that stores solar energy, second and third are more expensive but they store energy. Solar can lust about 25 years and require little maintenance. I figured out that there is a law which supports solar panel users by Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT) and amended in the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (P.L. 110-343), but to be short it is as minimum tax deductible, but other benefits are also applies they alter from applicant to applicant (Gordon 233).

Regarding pollution research shows that Sharp Company on of the leaders on a market claims that throughout entire product cycle their manufacturing processes designed to have as little impact on our ecological system as possible. Among their most green products are LCD-TVs, surround systems. Also there are web sites which make solar panel look more interesting then just a bunch of sells; it looks like set of gorgeous glass solar-thermal roof tiles (Mahaney 12).

Photovoltaic (PV) is a process used in electricity that changes solar radiation into direct current electricity by the use of semi-conductors that are known to show the effects of photovoltaic. It is of importance top note that, the photovoltaic power utilizes solar panels that consists of a number of cells containing a photovoltaic material. Importantly, countries in the whole world have come up with measures of fighting global warming in the current state. In this case, solar photovoltaics in the year 2010 were recorded producing electricity in approximately 100 countries. On this , the amount of global effect it had on the environment was very insignificant as compared to other means of power production (Hough 234).

Basically, the costs of photovoltaic have decreased drastically as driven by the emerging technologies and increase in the manufacturing scales. On this basis, most industries have turn to photovoltaic method of power generation as it has its positive as far as environmental degradation is concerned. In the United States of America, a number of renewable electricity energies that have very low effects to the environment have been used. It should be noted that, the photovoltaic effect is the process of creating voltage in a material upon exposure to light (Oxlade 17).

Evidences have indicated that the photovoltaic production of electricity has been very effective in the prevention of environmental degradation especially in the current technological world. On this basis, there is no much temperatures produced inn this system of energy production and hence effects of global warming would be very minimal. In the United States of America, President Obama encouraged industry owners to utilize solar energy rather than other energies that have far reaching effects in the aspect of global warming. A point worth noting is that, the photovoltaic cells should be protected from the environment in order to make them last long (Hough 234).

It should be noted that, photovoltaic technologies have helped in reducing carbon footprint which has been produced in green house emissions. In this case, photovoltaic has assisted in saving the environment from degradations caused by other technologies which release carbon into the atmosphere. A point worth noting is that, industries all over the world have been urged to make use of the environmental saving measures like the solar energy. In this case, companies mostly in the United States of America have started using this technology and hence trying to solve the problems of global warming (Oxlade 17).

It is of importance to note that, photovoltaic also called solar panels are made of semi-conducting materials which convert sunlight energy into electrical energy and hence saving the environment from effects of global warming. Importantly, the high temperatures from the sun are changed to moderate temperatures hence aiding in the prevention of global warming. Basically, there is no emission of carbon which when released into the atmosphere harms the environment and hence global warming. Certainly, photovoltaic is the best method of energy production which controls the environment by preventing its pollution through emission and releasing carbon and other poisonous gasses into the atmosphere (Hough 234).

Certainly, the photovoltaic or solar panels make it very cheap to produce energy by the use of environmental friendly methods. In the developed countries, the emission of carbon and its release to the environment has decreased to at least 5%. This is a very viable way to indicate that the whole world is moving toward environmental friendly technologies which will bring viable results and effects to the environment. In this case there is a target set for each country emission of carbon which should be reached by the year 2012 (Oxlade 17).

It should be noted that, solar energy has some advantages to the environment over the oil. First, solar energy is a renewable source of energy despite the fact that its utilization is restricted only to day time and especially sunny day. On the other hand, the availability of solar energy may be relied upon day after day especially in the conservation of environment. It is of importance to note that the supply of solar energy lasts as long as there is sun and hence it’s the best method of energy production which is environmental friendly (Hough 234).

It has been argued that, one of the advantages of solar panels is that they produce an energy that is renewable and hence can not get depleted. As compared to the oils, solar energy is the best energy production which is both cheap and environmental friendly. On the other hand, since no burning is done in the production of solar energy; it is a no polluting energy production. In this case, the temperature produced from the sum is directly converted to electrical energy and hence there is no harm done by these temperatures. Importantly, by producing low levels of temperature the environment will be saved from global warming which has been a very dangerous aspect in the future of our environment (Mahaney 12).

Apart from global warming, the process of obtaining oils may results to spilling which causes water and soil pollution. Basically, the installation of solar panels and other devices does not at all harm the environment. In this case, the photovoltaic energy production is the best in terms of environmental protection (Gordon 233).

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of solar energy which may be stated that, the solar panels may be broke or malfunctioning resulting to defects in converting the sunlight temperatures. When this happens, there will be some effects in the environment. Additionally, the production of solar energy can not be done at night or in a cloudy or rainy day and hence its effectiveness may not be good or reachable. It should be noted that even though solar energy is used by most of the developed countries, it may not be possible or efficient in countries which experience long winter periods (Solar Energy International 300).

In conclusion, despite the disadvantages of solar energies the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and hence make it the very best method of energy production. It should be noted that, photovoltaic or solar panels are very friendly to the environment in terms of preventing global warming as it helps in producing low temperatures. In contrast to other methods of energy production like oils, solar energy benefits the environment by not emitting poisonous gases into the environment which h causes harm to the environment. As a result of this, governments are encouraging industries to adopt this method of energy production in order to save the environment.

Wind and solar energy both are the energy-saving energy Solar energy is through the thermal power generation, while wind energy is by mechanical power The consists of a group of solar cells, solar controller, battery (group). If the output power is 220V AC or 110V, there also need inverter. : in not only the core part of the solar system but also is the highest value part. Its mainly convert the sun’s radiation to electricity, or sent it to batteries stored, or promote the work load. The quality and

of solar panels will directly determine the quality and of the entire system. Solar Controller: Solar controller controls the entire system state, and played a battery charge protection, over discharge protection. When the temperature difference is lager, the controller should have qualified temperature compensation function. Other additional features such as light switch and time switch should be controller options. Battery: lead-acid batteries, small micro system can also be used nickel metal hydride batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries or lithium batteries. The role is stored up the light energy which issued by the solar panels, when needed and then released. Inverter: On many occasions, need to provide 220VAC, 110VAC AC power. Due to the direct output of the solar energy in general are 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC. in order to provide power for 220VAC electrical, need to convert DC issued by solar power system into AC power, so need to use the DC-AC inverter. In some cases, you need to load a variety of voltage, also used the DC-DC inverter, such as convert 24VDC power into 5VDC of power (note, it’s not a simple to reduce voltage). electricity generation principle – mechanical energy generation Large wind turbines are usually horizontal axis type (acceleration gear box) by the wind wheel, gearbox, generator, offset devices, systems, towers and other components. The wind turbine convert wind energy into mechanical energy, by the good performance of the gas flow leaves mounted on the axle, low speed wind turbine gearboxes accelerate through the transmission system by the growth rate, the power transmitted to the generator. These components are installed inside the cabin and the support of the entire cabin by a tall tower, will be constantly changing as the wind direction in order to effectively use wind energy, there must be automatic upwind device, which measured wind direction signal according to the wind direction sensing instrument, the offset of the motor is controlled by the controller, the drive pinion gear and then push on the tower, and the whole cabin by the automatic system, has been on the windward side. Wind energy advantages: Cleaning and environmental benefits; renewable, inexhaustible; infrastructure cycle is short; flexible installed capacity. Wind energy Disadvantages: noise, visual pollution; occupying large tracts of land; unstable, uncontrollable; the current cost is still high; the higher the environmental dependence The only drawback of solar energy is cost but I believe that with the enhancement of research strength, the cost problem can be solved.

Which Is More Efficient Wind Or Solar Energy – How Efficient is Wind Energy?

Published by fnever on June 21st, 2012 - in Knowledge Base

Which Is More Efficient Or Solar Energy

With fossil fuel prices rising and fear about global warming spreading, many people are looking for to help their homes. This provides on two of renewable energy and explains alternative electric generation with and windmills.

Solar power is nothing new. Development of solar technologies began in the 1960′s as part of the space race between the United States and Russia as both countries were looking for ways to power satellites. The sun provides an enormous amount of energy, enough to exceed current global energy needs by nearly 1000 percent.

Unfortunately, the development of solar technology for the consumer market has been slow.

Currently, for applications there are two types of solar energy set ups: off grid and on grid. Off grid systems are entirely self contained and not connected to local utility services. Extra power is stored in batteries which are activated at night or when cloud cover obscures the sun. Which Is More Efficient Wind Or Solar Energy

On grid systems are connected to the local utility grids and extra electricity generated by the system is fed into the local grid. This electricity is then credited to the costumer’s account and the consumer can still pull energy form the local grid.

Since solar panels are still generally too expensive to provide for all a home’s electricity needs, most home owners choose on grid systems.

Another option for green electricity that is available to homeowners is wind power. Wind power works by using a wind to generate electricity from blowing wind. In many ways the is similar to the behind wind mills.

Unfortunately, wind turbines can be quite large, and as such are only suitable for people living on large properties. Furthermore, the turbine generally cannot fully power your house, so you will still have to stay connected to local power grids, but you will be able to cut your energy costs by up to 90%. The last presidential election campaign polarized the United States. It wasn’t a question for voters of whether or not one side had some good ideas and some bad. It was a complete split in ideologies on all issues across the board – save one. Solar and other forms of renewable energy were part of the platforms of both presidential candidates -Obama and John McCain. Their individual stances on the issue were so identical that you heard very little about it. There was nothing to debate. This year will be different.

In the four years since the last election, the viability of solar energy as a primary source has gone from questionable to inevitable. The Chinese are now making so cheap that even a proposed one hundred percent tariff doesn’t guarantee US competitive advantage in the renewable energy market. This disparity in what has become the next major energy race will need to be addressed during the 2012 election campaign. Those who don’t address it are simply not fit to lead this country.

Is that a political opinion? No, it’s reality. Leaders are chosen according to their ability to handle the current issues and affairs of today’s world, not by how well they understand the policies of yesterday. The American voter is savvier today by far than his counterpart of a few decades ago. Information and education on any topic is available at the click of a mouse or by doing a simple search on a smart phone. This year, the hot button issue will be energy. Solar will take center stage, as will and hydro power.

This is good news for educators. Those who offer solar energy certification and training are due for a large influx of new students. This increased demand may make the prices for some of these courses rise and will most certainly limit availability, particularly if the candidate elected is a renewable energy proponent. We’re not talking strictly about the president either. There are plenty of seats up for grab in Congress and on city and state levels also. Where do those candidates stand on energy?

Electric cars are making a serious splash on the West Coast right now, and sales inland are improving. With electric cars come solar powered charging stations, a combination that provides a sustainable transportation solution that eliminates our dependence on foreign oil. You will hear each of the political candidates in every race, local and national, expound on our nation’s dependence on foreign fossil fuels and how it needs to end. The question is – what are they going to do to help end it?

will be the primary energy source of the future. That future should be right now, but our leaders have managed to complicate the transition. Subsidies and powerful lobbying efforts keep fossil fuels in the forefront of American energy options. This year’s election, if all of the “experts” are correct, should mark the beginning of a change in that philosophy – if you vote for that change.
