About Dr. David M. Lubman:
David M. Lubman received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Stanford University in 1979 under the direction of Professor Richard N. Zare. He was a fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science and arrived at the University of Michigan in 1983 as a member of the Department of Chemistry.
He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1987 and Full Professor in 1991. Among a number of awards in the field, he has won an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Award, the Meggars Award of the Society of Applied Spectroscopy, an R & D 100 Award and was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has also won internal awards inside the University of Michigan which includes the LS&A Excellence in Analysis Award, LS&A Excellence in Teaching Award and the Faculty Recognition Award.
His present investigation interests involve developing new proteomic techniques for looking for protein markers of cancer.
